GeoDict Simulation & Prediction Modules

GeoDict offers a comprehensive suite of simulation tools that reveal what processes occur in your material at the micro level and how they affect its macroscopic properties. Scientific and industrial research projects have consistently proven that GeoDict simulations deliver extremely reliable results, providing realistic insights into material behavior. Moreover, these simulations can uncover internal processes that would be difficult or impossible to observe through laboratory experiments alone.

The Simulation & Prediction modules cover almost all key physical processes required in material R&D — from single‑phase flow, two‑phase saturation, diffusion, conduction, and mechanical deformation, to particle filtration, acoustic absorption, and battery electrochemistry. All modules run directly on 3D voxel images, eliminating the need for time‑consuming mesh generation, and integrate seamlessly with GeoDict's Material Modeling and Material Analysis modules.

FlowDict – Simulates flow experiments to predict effective flow velocity, permeability, and flow resistance. It supports Stokes, Navier‑Stokes, Stokes‑Brinkman, and Darcy equations for both slow and fast flows.

SatuDict – Handles the distribution of two immiscible fluid phases in porous materials, computing capillary pressure curves, relative permeability, and other saturation‑dependent properties.

DiffuDict – Simulates diffusion processes to predict tortuosity, tortuosity factor, and effective diffusion coefficients.

ConductoDict – Simulates thermal and electrical conduction experiments to predict effective thermal and electrical conductivities.

ElastoDict – Characterizes mechanical properties and simulates deformation, damage, and failure of complex microstructures.

FilterDict – Simulates particle filtration from filter media to pleated filter elements to complete filter housings, predicting filtration efficiency, pressure drop, and dust holding capacity.

AddiDict – Simulates transport of particles or molecules through advection and diffusion, including adsorption processes.

AcoustoDict – Functions as a "digital impedance tube," predicting acoustic absorption parameters of porous microstructures.

BatteryDict – Dedicated to lithium‑ion battery cell modeling and electrochemical cycling simulations.

All simulation modules work together with GeoDict's material modeling and image analysis modules, forming a complete "Digital Material Laboratory" workflow.
